# Account Details

> Update your first name, last name, and profile image from BeatPass account settings.

The **Account details** section is where you update the basic personal information shown for your BeatPass user account.

## What You Can Update

| Field             | Description         |
| ----------------- | ------------------- |
| **Profile image** | Your account avatar |
| **First Name**    | Your first name     |
| **Last Name**     | Your last name      |

## Update Your Name Or Profile Image

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open account settings">
    Open the **Account Settings** page from your profile avatar menu.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go to Account details">
    Open the **Account details** section.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Edit your fields">
    Update **First name**, **Last name**, or select a new **Profile image**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save your changes">
    Click **Save**.
  </Step>

<Tip>
  A clear square image usually works best for avatars.
</Tip>

## What This Section Does Not Include

The current **Account details** form does not include fields for:

* Username
* Email address
* Public website or social profile links

If you do not see one of those fields, that is expected on the current BeatPass account settings page.

## Common Questions

  <Accordion title="My avatar isn't updating">
    Save the form first, then refresh the page. If the old image still appears, your browser may be showing a cached version for a short time.

  <Accordion title="Do I need to fill out both name fields?">
    Use the name that you want associated with your BeatPass account. If you only change one field, save the form to keep that update.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Where do I change my password?">
    Password changes are handled in the [Password](/help/account-settings/password) section, not in **Account details**.
