## Password Requirements

BeatPass passwords must meet these requirements:

| Requirement        | Details                          |
| ------------------ | -------------------------------- |
| **Minimum length** | 5 characters                     |
| **Confirmation** | Must be entered twice to confirm |

<Tip>
  For better security, use a longer password with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
</Tip>

## Change Password Or Reset Password

Use the right flow for your situation:

* **Change password in account settings** if you know your current password
* **Forgot Password** if you do not know your current password or you signed up with Google and never created one

<Note>
  The **Update password** form in account settings requires your current password. It is not a separate "set password later" screen.
</Note>

If you only use Google sign-in today, BeatPass can email you a reset link so you can create a password from the standard password reset flow.

## Security Tips

* **Don't reuse passwords** — Use a unique password for BeatPass
* **Use a password manager** — Helps create and store strong passwords
* **Change periodically** — Update your password every few months
* **Never share** — Keep your password private

<Warning>
  BeatPass staff will never ask for your password. If someone claiming to be from BeatPass requests it, do not share it.
</Warning>
