# BEATPAY Bank Payouts

> Set up BEATPAY bank payouts and understand how exclusive-sale and subscription earnings reach you.

**BEATPAY** is BeatPass's bank payout setup for eligible producers. It is powered by Wise and appears inside **Producer Finances** when it is available for your account.

  If you see **Set up BEATPAY** in **Finances**, complete it to prepare eligible exclusive-sale and subscription-pool bank payouts. **Finances** always shows which earnings streams are active for your account.

## What BEATPAY Does

## Where You See It

Open **Backstage** and go to **Finances**. Eligible producers can see one or more of these BEATPAY areas:

* **Set up BEATPAY** on the finance setup card
* **BEATPAY bank payouts** with **Powered by Wise**
* **Live Exchange Rate** for bank payout currency context
* **Bank account ready**, **Bank payouts active**, or **Bank setup needs a quick review** after setup starts

You may also see a payout-upgrade prompt when BeatPass can offer BEATPAY to your account. Choose **Set up bank payouts** to start, or **Maybe later** if you are not ready.

## Set Up BEATPAY

    Click your **profile avatar**, open **Backstage**, then select **Finances**.

  <Step title="Start bank payout setup">
    Click **Set up BEATPAY** in **Finances**. If the upgrade prompt appears first, click **Set up bank payouts**.

  <Step title="Choose payout currency">
    Select **Payout currency**. This is the currency of the bank account you want to be paid in.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Continue to bank details">
    Click **Continue to bank details**, then enter the requested bank account information. Depending on the account type, you may also see **Legal name on the bank account** and **Bank account type**.

  <Step title="Save and finish">
    Click **Save bank details**. When the success screen appears, click **Done**.

<Note>
  After your bank account is active, all new earnings — subscription-pool payouts and eligible exclusive sales — are paid through BEATPAY. If you previously used Stripe Connect, Stripe keeps paying out only until that moment; its remaining balance still reaches your bank, and the old account then closes automatically. **Finances** shows the status of each earnings stream.

## BEATPAY Statuses

| Status or label                              | What it means                                                                                       |
| -------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Not started**                              | No BEATPAY bank account has been saved for the selected artist yet                                  |
| **Bank account ready**                       | Your bank account is saved; **Finances** shows which earnings are ready to use it                   |
| **Bank payouts active**                      | BEATPAY is the active payout route for eligible earnings                                            |
| **Bank setup needs a quick review**          | BeatPass or the payout provider needs more time or updated details before the bank account is ready |
| **Use a different bank account**             | Replace the saved active bank account with another one                                              |
| **Start over with a different bank account** | Remove a pending setup and begin again with new bank details                                        |

## Currency and Arrival Details

When exchange-rate details are available, **Finances** can show:

* **Source currency** - the currency BeatPass currently uses for the payout source
* **Payout currency** - the bank account currency you choose during setup
* **Live Exchange Rate** - recent exchange-rate movement for the selected currency pair
* **Estimated payout arrival** - an estimate such as **Usually 1-2 business days**, **Arrives within the hour**, or **Arrives in about 1 day**
* **Good to know** - BeatPass covers the transfer fee, so you receive your full payout

  Exchange rates and arrival estimates can change. Use **Finances** for the latest available status before relying on a payout timeline.

## What Does Not Change

* Your existing Stripe Connect account keeps paying out until your BEATPAY setup is active; its remaining balance still reaches your bank before the old account closes
* Your contribution share and payout formulas do not change because you set up BEATPAY
* Your transaction history remains in **Finances**
* **Sale completed**, **Payout queued**, **Queued**, **Sending**, **Paid**, **Held**, **Failed**, **Refunded**, and **Excluded** describe the relevant sale or subscription state

## Common Questions

    BEATPAY appears when it is available for your producer account. Keep the payout setup shown in **Finances** active and check there for new setup options.

  <Accordion title="Do I need to remove Stripe Connect first?">
    No. Just set up BEATPAY — there is nothing to remove. Your Stripe account keeps paying out until your bank setup is active. After that, all new earnings use BEATPAY, any remaining Stripe balance still reaches your bank, and the old Stripe account closes automatically.

    No. BEATPAY changes how eligible money reaches you, not how BeatPass calculates the underlying earning.

    Open **Backstage** → **Finances** and review the current setup state, transaction statuses, and any prompt asking for more information.
