# Currencies & International Pricing

> Understand the currencies BeatPass currently supports for track pricing, how payouts can appear in multiple currencies, and where conversion expectations belong.

BeatPass supports multiple currencies for producer pricing and payout tracking. The most important rule is simple: your listed track price is your price, and the platform fee is added on top at checkout.

## Supported Pricing Currencies

BeatPass currently supports these currencies for track purchase pricing:

| Currency        | Code |
| --------------- | ---- |
| US Dollar       | USD  |
| Euro            | EUR  |
| British Pound   | GBP  |
| Canadian Dollar | CAD  |

<Note>
  Current paid BeatPass subscription plans are listed in **CAD**.
</Note>

## For Producers

### Setting Track Prices

* Choose the pricing currency that fits your audience and catalog strategy
* Buyers see your listed price plus the platform fee at checkout
* BeatPass does not deduct the platform fee from your listed price

### What You See in Finances

**Producer Finances** can show:

* A primary balance currency
* Multi-currency warnings when your account has balances in more than one currency
* Mixed-currency transaction history depending on what you sold and how the active payment or payout provider recorded it

## For Buyers

If the purchase currency does not match the card or bank's currency, conversion can happen outside BeatPass. The exact outcome depends on Stripe and the buyer's bank.

## BEATPAY Bank Account Currencies

BEATPAY's **Bank account currency** list is intentionally narrower than the world's currency list. It includes currencies currently available for adding a bank recipient through BeatPass's Wise-powered payout account.

The bank account currency does not have to match your country's local currency. It must match a currency that the receiving account accepts.

* If the account is in the US and uses US bank details, select **USD** and choose **ACH**
* If a bank outside the US accepts USD and provides SWIFT details, select **USD** and choose **SWIFT**
* If the local currency is missing, ask the bank whether the account can receive USD, EUR, GBP, or another currency shown in BEATPAY

<Info>
  **Jamaica example:** JMD is not currently available for direct BEATPAY recipient setup. A Jamaican producer can select **USD** only if their bank confirms that the receiving account accepts USD, then use the bank's **SWIFT** details.
</Info>

<Warning>
  Choosing an unsupported currency can cause a payment to fail or be returned. The receiving bank may also convert the payment or charge receiving or conversion fees. Confirm compatibility and possible fees with the bank before saving the account.
</Warning>

## Practical Tips

* Use a pricing currency your buyers already understand
* Check **Producer Finances** for mixed-currency warnings
* Expect the active payment or payout provider and your bank to control most conversion details after checkout
* If a local currency is not listed in BEATPAY, confirm an alternative account currency with your bank before selecting it
* Review the payout setup shown in **Finances** if you need a different payout arrangement

## Common Questions

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Can I price a track in more than one currency at the same time?">
    Each priced track uses one configured pricing currency at a time.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can my earnings history contain more than one currency?">
    Yes. BeatPass can surface a multi-currency warning in **Producer Finances** when your account has balances in more than one currency.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Who controls currency conversion after checkout?">
    The active payment or payout provider and the payout destination handle most of that behavior, not the BeatPass help system.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What if my country's local currency is not available in BEATPAY?">
    Ask your bank whether your account can receive another currency shown during setup, such as USD, EUR, or GBP. Select it only after the bank confirms compatibility. For example, a Jamaican producer whose bank account accepts USD can choose **USD** and use the bank's **SWIFT** details.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Are subscriptions shown in the same currency as track pricing?">
    Not necessarily. Current paid BeatPass plans are listed in CAD, while track pricing supports USD, EUR, GBP, and CAD.
