# Creating Your Account

> How to create a free BeatPass account and verify your email.

Creating a BeatPass account is free and only takes a minute. Once verified, you can stream beats, save favorites, build playlists, and follow producers.

## How to Create Your Account

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the registration page">
    Click **Register** in the top navigation bar.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your details">
    Fill in the registration form:

    * **Email address** — use an email you have access to (you'll need to verify it)
    * **Password** — create a secure password
    * **Confirm password** — re-enter your password to confirm
  </Step>

  <Step title="Accept the terms">
    Check the box to confirm you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You can click the links on the form to read them before agreeing.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Create account">
    Click the **Create account** button to submit your registration.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify your email">
    Check your inbox for a verification email from BeatPass. Click the link in the email to activate your account.

## Email Verification

After creating your account, you need to verify your email address before you can fully use BeatPass.

### What to Expect

* A verification email is sent to the address you provided
* Verification links expire — if yours has stopped working, request a new one
* Until you verify, you'll see a reminder when you visit BeatPass

### Didn't Receive the Email?

If you don't see the verification email:

1. Check your spam or junk folder
2. Make sure you entered your email address correctly
3. Click **Resend email** on the verification reminder page to request a new link

  Add [contact@beatpass.ca](mailto:contact@beatpass.ca) to your contacts to help ensure future emails from BeatPass don't end up in spam.

## What You Can Do With a Free Account

The free Explorer plan includes:

* **Stream** — listen to the entire beat catalog
* **1 beat-request token per month** — submit a custom beat request to producers
* **Save favorites** — like beats to find them later
* **Create playlists** — organize beats into custom playlists
* **Follow producers** — stay updated when your favorite producers upload new beats
* **Comment** — leave feedback on beats
* **Browse history** — see what you've listened to recently
