# License Terms

> Understanding the different license types on BeatPass and where to check the exact rights attached to your beat.

BeatPass currently has two licensing paths: the standard **non-exclusive** license created when an eligible subscriber downloads a beat, and the optional **exclusive** purchase offered on eligible tracks.

<Warning>
  Treat your actual license proof as the source of truth. For standard downloads, that is your certificate in **Library** -> **Licenses**. For exclusive purchases, that is the **Exclusive License Terms** preview and the certificate generated for that purchase.
</Warning>

<Warning>
  BeatPass licenses do not allow AI training, dataset creation, model development, sample-pack creation, or competing library use unless all required parties give separate written permission.
</Warning>

## What Both Paths Have In Common

* The license is issued to the BeatPass account and email used for the download or purchase.
* BeatPass stores verification details so you can prove the license later.
* You cannot resell or redistribute the beat itself as a standalone product.
* You are licensing use rights from the producer, not buying the right to relist the beat however you want.
* BeatPass relies on producer warranties, disclosures, and Proof of Rights when issuing licenses.
* If a beat is later restricted because of a verified rights issue, AI misrepresentation, or Proof of Rights failure, BeatPass may provide support, credit, refund review, or certificate-status context under the applicable policies.
