# Non-Exclusive License

> Understanding the current standard non-exclusive license issued for eligible BeatPass subscription downloads.

When you download an eligible beat with your paid BeatPass plan, BeatPass issues a **non-exclusive license** for that download. This is the standard license path for subscription downloads.

  **Non-exclusive** means multiple artists can legally use the same beat. Each eligible download has its own certificate tied to the downloader's BeatPass account.

## Quick answer

A standard BeatPass subscription download gives you a non-exclusive license for one original musical work.

You can release and monetise that finished song on streaming and digital platforms, promote it online, and keep the license after it is issued even if you cancel later.

You cannot register the beat in Content ID, resell the beat, release the beat by itself, claim authorship of the beat, transfer the license, or use the beat for AI training or competing datasets.

## What This License Covers Today

* Create **one original musical work** with the downloaded beat.
* Release and monetize that finished song on streaming and digital platforms.
* Use the finished work in music videos, lyric videos, social posts, and similar promotion.
* Perform the finished work live at events with up to **50 attendees**.
* Keep the license permanently after the download is issued, even if you cancel later.

## Project Limit

Each standard download covers **one project**. If you want to use the same beat in a different finished song, download it again while you are eligible to do so.

## What You Must Do

* Credit the producer on releases and public descriptions.
* Keep the use tied to the finished song you created with that download.
* Keep your certificate in **Library** -> **Licenses** in case you need proof later.

### Producer Credit

The current standard license requires producer credit:

> **"Produced by \[Producer Name]"**

Use that credit in places such as metadata, streaming credits, and video descriptions when those fields are available.

## What This License Does Not Allow

## Why non-exclusive still needs proof

Non-exclusive does not mean informal. Multiple artists may legally use the same beat, but each eligible BeatPass download receives its own certificate tied to the downloader's account. The certificate helps show which user licensed which beat, when it was issued, and what terms apply.

## Files And Proof

BeatPass gives you:

* The beat's downloadable audio file.
* A non-exclusive license certificate tied to your account.

  BeatPass does **not** guarantee a bundled WAV plus MP3 pair on every standard download. The file you receive depends on the actual downloadable source attached to that beat. Stems are not part of the standard non-exclusive terms.

## AI-Origin and Rights Issues

BeatPass is a platform for human-made beats and relies on producer warranties, disclosures, and Proof of Rights when issuing licenses. BeatPass does not guarantee that a beat is AI-free, infringement-free, or accepted by every distributor, label, publisher, PRO, or third party.

If BeatPass later removes or restricts a beat because of a verified rights issue, AI misrepresentation, failure of Proof of Rights, or policy breach, BeatPass may provide support, replacement credit, account credit, refund review, documentation support, or other remedies under the Refund Policy. BeatPass cannot grant rights the producer did not own or control.

## If the beat sells exclusively later

If another artist purchases exclusive rights to a beat you've already downloaded:

* **Your license remains valid**.
* **Your rights are not revoked**.
* **Future non-exclusive downloads stop** once the beat is sold exclusively.

    Yes. The current standard license lets you release and monetize your finished song on platforms like YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music. What you cannot do is register the beat in Content ID.

    One project means one finished song. If you want to use the same beat for a different song, you need a separate download and certificate for that project.

    Open **Library** -> **Licenses**. BeatPass stores your standard certificate there so you can verify what was issued for that download.

  <Accordion title="Can I use the beat to train an AI model?">
    No. BeatPass licenses do not allow AI training, dataset creation, model development, sample-pack creation, or competing library use without separate written permission from BeatPass and the relevant rights holder.
