# Messages Notifications

> Understand Direct Messages and Playlist Invites notifications on BeatPass.

The **Messages** category currently contains:

| Notification         | Who can receive it | Trigger                                          |
| -------------------- | ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------ |
| **Direct Messages**  | Everyone           | Someone sends you a direct or group message      |
| **Playlist Invites** | Everyone           | Someone invites you to collaborate on a playlist |

Playlist invite notifications can include inline **Accept** and **Decline** actions in the in-app notification list.
