# Producer Benefits

> Discover what you get as a BeatPass producer, including revenue share, unlimited uploads, and more.

BeatPass producer access is more than an upload permission. It unlocks the tools needed to publish your catalog, offer licenses, and earn from activity on the platform.

## Revenue & Earnings

### Keep 100% of Your Price

For exclusive sales, you keep the listed price you set for the beat. BeatPass adds the platform fee (12% + \$3 CAD) to the buyer's checkout total instead of subtracting it from your listed amount.

  Payouts still depend on an active payout setup, and final bank deposit timing depends on the active payout route and bank processing.

### Multiple Income Streams

As a producer, you can earn from:

* **Subscription contribution** when standard licensing and the subscription payout stream are active
* **Exclusive licenses** when buyers purchase your configured exclusive option
* **Ongoing catalog performance** as more of your beats get discovered and used

## Upload & Catalog

### Unlimited Uploads

The current producer tools do not impose a fixed catalog cap. You can keep building your library of beats and collections over time.

Your producer workspace lets you:

* Upload individual beats and collections
* Edit metadata, cover art, and licensing
* Reorder collection tracks
* Replace audio before an exclusive sale
* Review finances and producer activity

## Rights & Ownership

### Keep Your Rights

You retain full ownership of your music. By joining the program, you authorize BeatPass to host, distribute, issue licenses for, and verify your beats under BeatPass terms.

This means:

* You can still sell your beats elsewhere
* You control your track pricing and exclusive terms
* Existing non-exclusive BeatPass licenses stay valid if a beat later sells exclusively
* Your catalog must remain human-made, not fully AI-generated, and any AI samples or generated elements must be commercially licensable through BeatPass

  BeatPass may use up to 60 seconds of your beats, together with cover art and credits, on BeatPass-owned channels for promotion. You can opt out by emailing `contact@beatpass.ca` with the subject `Promo Opt-Out`.

## Before uploading your catalog anywhere

Before placing your best beats on any subscription or marketplace platform, confirm:

* Whether you keep ownership
* What license the platform can issue
* Whether artist licenses survive cancellation
* How payout share is calculated
* How exclusive sales affect existing licenses
* Whether the platform can use your beat in promotion
* How disputes, takedowns, AI issues, and Proof of Rights requests work
* Whether the platform requires upfront fees or paid upload access

On BeatPass, producers keep ownership while authorising BeatPass to host, license, issue certificates, verify, moderate, and support eligible beats under the platform terms.

## No Upfront Costs

There is no fee to join the Producer Program. You pay nothing to get started, and when you make exclusive sales, BeatPass adds the platform fee to the buyer instead of billing you for entry.
