Genre Browsing
Genre pages are currently powered by the channel system, not by a separate genre-only search page. In practice this means a genre route can show different layouts and content mixes depending on how the channel is configured. You will usually reach a genre page from:- A genre link on a track or collection page
- A genre module on the homepage or another channel page
What Genre Pages Can Include
- Track rows or cards
- Collections
- Producers or other related discovery modules
- A genre radio action
- A custom beat request banner at the end of some genre channel pages
Tag Browsing
Tags are clickable labels on tracks and collections. They are useful when you want a narrower descriptor than a genre, such as a mood, style reference, or production label. The current product also exposes tags in search results through the Tags tab.Genre vs. Tag
Best Use Cases
- Start with a genre when you know the broad sound.
- Use tags when you want to narrow the vibe after you already found a relevant track or collection.
