An eligible paid-plan download creates a standard non-exclusive license for one original musical work. The license covers the release and monetisation of that finished song on streaming and digital platforms, subject to its terms and restrictions. Each qualifying download creates a license certificate tied to the downloader’s BeatPass account. The certificate records the license identity, track details, applicable terms, licensed-user verification, fingerprint details when available, and a public verification link. A payment receipt shows that a transaction happened. A certificate is the record designed to show what was licensed. See License Certificates for the details.Public verification
Anyone with a certificate’s verification link can check whether the certificate exists in BeatPass records and see its current status without logging in. The verification page uses masked licensee information so it can support a rights review without exposing an account’s full email address. BeatPass ID combines available fingerprint data with the track’s licensing model, Sample-Safe declaration, AI-use disclosure when available, and promised exclusive deliverables. Producers keep ownership of their beats. They authorise BeatPass to host, license, issue certificates for, verify, moderate, and support eligible beats under the platform terms. BeatPass uses contribution-based subscription revenue, not a fixed pay-per-play rate. Recency, play activity, and credited producer count determine each eligible track’s contribution value, which is used to calculate subscription payout share. BeatPass is for human-made beats. AI can support a producer’s workflow or supply properly licensed source material, but it cannot replace the producer’s meaningful creative role in the final beat. Beat Requests let artists describe a direction with a brief and reference track, then receive submissions from BeatPass producers. A reference helps explain mood, tempo, arrangement, and fit; it does not authorise copying protected musical elements or replace licensing an available original beat. Important limits
- A standard non-exclusive license does not allow Content ID registration for the beat.
- Multiple artists may lawfully use the same non-exclusive beat, with a separate certificate for each eligible download.
- Fully AI-generated beats are not permitted on BeatPass.
- Audio Recon helps producers investigate high-similarity matches; it is not a finding of infringement or permission to copy a sound.
