Content Requirements
You Must Own the Rights
Every beat you upload must be:- Original work that you created
- Yours to license — You must have the rights to grant licenses to others
- Free of third-party claims — No uncleared samples, stolen loops, or copyrighted material
- Human-made — You must make a meaningful human creative contribution to the beat
- Verifiable — You must be able to provide Proof of Rights for samples, AI-generated elements, vocals, loops, artwork, and other source material when requested
Audio Quality Standards
For the best experience for users and to maintain platform quality:- Upload in WAV format only. Compressed formats (such as MP3) and other lossless formats (such as FLAC) are not accepted.
- Ensure audio is properly mixed and mastered
- Avoid clipping, distortion, or excessive noise
- Check your files play correctly before publishing
Metadata Accuracy
Accurate metadata helps users discover your beats:- Title — Use a clear, descriptive title
- Genre — Select the most accurate primary genre
- BPM — Enter the correct tempo
- Key — Specify the musical key if known
- Tags — Add relevant tags that describe your beat

Even “royalty-free” samples have terms. Make sure the license allows you to authorize BeatPass to issue licenses to consumers.
AI Use and Rights Verification
AI may assist your workflow, but BeatPass is not a platform for fully AI-generated music. If AI was used in any part of a beat or source element, be ready to explain:- which AI tool, service, model, or plug-in was used
- how AI was used
- which part of the beat includes AI-generated or AI-processed material
- the approximate extent of AI-generated audio
- how you edited, replayed, chopped, arranged, mixed, or transformed the AI output
- what rights, plan, license, or permission allow the content to be licensed through BeatPass
Exclusive Availability
When you upload a beat to BeatPass:- You can also sell it on other platforms (it’s non-exclusive to BeatPass)
