This section covers the producer upload flow in BeatPass, including single-beat uploads, collections, metadata, cover art, sample-safe status, AI use requirements, and audio fingerprinting.
This feature is available to accounts with producer privileges. Learn about the Producer Program.

What You Can Do

As a BeatPass producer, you can:
  • Upload individual beats
  • Use the Create Collection toggle to build a collection while uploading multiple beats
  • Add metadata, cover art, and tags before saving
  • Replace audio files later if needed
BeatPass only accepts WAV audio files. MP3, FLAC, and other formats are not allowed.

Upload Overview

1

Go to the upload page

Click Upload beats in the top navigation bar. The upload page heading reads Upload Your Beats.
2

Choose your audio file

Drag and drop your file or click Choose Files to Upload. BeatPass runs a duplicate check using audio fingerprinting after each file is selected.
3

Complete the track form

Fill in the required track information across these sections:
  • Cover Art & Style — upload cover art for your beat
  • Track Details — track name, producers, description, collection, and tags
  • Music Properties — key, scale, and BPM (50–200)
  • Protection & Verification — sample-safe status (Cleared or Needs Clearance), AI use requirements, and fingerprinting
  • Licensing Options — defaults to Standard Licensing (non-exclusive); expand to configure exclusive terms if needed
4

Save your beat

Once the required fields are complete, save the track to publish it. Licensing does not need to be manually configured — it defaults to Standard (non-exclusive).

Required Fields

Before a new track can be saved, these fields must be filled in:
FieldSection
Track NameTrack Details
KeyMusic Properties
ScaleMusic Properties
BPM (50–200)Music Properties
The producer is automatically assigned as the artist. Cover art, tags, description, and licensing configuration are optional but recommended.
If you enable exclusive licensing, you’ll also need to set an exclusive price, currency, and contact email.

AI Use Requirement

BeatPass is for human-made beats. Fully AI-generated beats are not permitted, and AI samples or generated elements must be commercially licensable through BeatPass.Dedicated AI self-evaluation fields are planned as a separate product update. Until those fields are available, producers should keep source notes, tool terms, plan records, receipts, generation records, project files, stems, and other Proof of Rights for any AI-assisted material.

After Uploading

Once a beat is saved:
  • It appears on your producer profile and in BeatPass search results
  • It participates in licensing based on the model you selected (Standard by default)
  • You can return later to edit metadata, cover art, licensing, or replace the audio file
  • Fingerprint data and financial activity update over time
