About BeatPass

BeatPass is operated by Alliance Productions Records Inc., doing business as BeatPass.

The Agreement

By using BeatPass, you agree to the Terms of Service. This applies whether you’re a:
  • Producer — Someone who uploads beats to BeatPass
  • Consumer — Someone who downloads and licenses beats

Key Definitions

TermMeaning
BeatAn original musical work uploaded by a producer
ProjectOne new song or creative work using a downloaded beat
LicensePermission to use a beat as described in the license terms

Ownership

Producers Keep Their Rights

When you upload a beat to BeatPass:
  • You retain full ownership of your beat
  • Nothing transfers ownership to BeatPass or to consumers
  • You authorize BeatPass to operate the platform, make the beat available for licensing, issue license certificates, deliver files, and verify licenses under the applicable BeatPass terms

What Consumers Get

When you download a beat with a subscription:
  • You receive a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license
  • You can use the beat in one project
  • The license remains valid even after you cancel your subscription
  • You do not gain ownership of the beat itself

License Restrictions

Some uses require additional permission or an exclusive license:
  • Television, film, or streaming service productions
  • Commercials and advertising campaigns
  • Video games
  • Major brand campaigns
  • Using one beat in multiple projects
  • AI training, dataset creation, model development, sample-pack creation, or competing library use

AI Audio and Human-Made Beats

BeatPass is for human-made beats. Producers must make a meaningful human creative contribution to every beat they upload.
  • Fully AI-generated beats are not permitted.
  • AI may be used for assistive production tasks or limited source elements only when the final beat remains primarily human-made.
  • AI samples and generated elements must be commercially licensable through BeatPass.
  • Producers must disclose AI use when required and provide Proof of Rights on request.
  • BeatPass may review, delist, pause downloads, hold unpaid payouts, or restrict accounts for AI policy violations.
See AI Audio and Human-Made Content for the practical policy guide.

Marketplace Terms

BeatPass also maintains specific policy summaries for major marketplace flows:

Producer Promotion

BeatPass may promote producers and their beats on its own channels (website and social media). This includes:
  • Short clips or full audio from beats
  • Cover art, titles, and producer names
  • Links to producer profiles
Producers can opt out of promotional use at any time by emailing contact@beatpass.ca with the subject “Promo Opt-Out.”
BeatPass will not use your beats in third-party paid advertisements without your written consent.

Content Rules

All content uploaded to BeatPass must:
  • Be original work you have the right to upload
  • Not infringe on anyone else’s copyright
  • Not contain illegal, harmful, or offensive material
  • Be human-made and not fully AI-generated
  • Have verifiable commercial-use rights for any AI samples or AI-generated elements
BeatPass respects intellectual property rights and follows the DMCA notice-and-takedown process.

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • Location of the infringing material on BeatPass

If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you can submit a counter-notice. See the full Terms of Service for details.

  • Violate the Terms of Service

Governing Law

The Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Quebec and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Courts located in Quebec are the default forum for unresolved disputes, except where consumer-protection or other non-waivable law requires another forum. Arbitration is available only if both parties later agree to it in a separate written agreement — it is not required.
