Setting the right exclusive price matters because it controls both how your beat is positioned and how easy it is for a buyer to move from interest to checkout.

Current Price Fields

For exclusive-capable beats, BeatPass lets you set:
  • Exclusive price
  • Currency
  • Exclusive contact email
The price appears wherever BeatPass shows the beat as available for exclusive purchase.

Current Supported Currencies

BeatPass currently supports these exclusive sale currencies:
  • USD
  • EUR
  • GBP
  • CAD

Platform Fee Behaviour

BeatPass adds the platform fee on top of your listed exclusive amount — the buyer pays the fee, not you. This means:
  • You keep the full listed price.
  • The buyer’s total at checkout includes your price plus the BeatPass platform fee.
  • The exact fee percentage and flat-rate component are set by the platform and may be shown at checkout.

Pricing Factors to Consider

Beat Quality and Demand

Higher prices make more sense when the beat has:
  • Strong production quality
  • Unique sound or obvious market fit
  • Proven play activity or buyer interest
  • Premium deliverables such as stems, MIDI, or full trackouts

Your Catalog Strategy

Think about whether the beat is:
  • A broad discovery beat that benefits from Standard + Exclusive
  • A premium record you want to protect as Exclusive Only
  • A flexible catalog beat where a moderate exclusive price makes sense

Your Reputation

Pricing should also reflect:
  • Your current credits
  • Your catalog depth
  • The quality of your profile presentation
  • How often buyers already engage with your beats

Contact Email Matters

BeatPass requires a contact email on exclusive-capable tracks. Buyers may use it when:
  • They have licensing questions
  • They want to discuss custom terms
  • Instant purchase is not the right fit for the situation

Payment & Payout Notes

When someone completes an exclusive purchase:
  1. The buyer pays your listed price plus the BeatPass platform fee.
  2. BeatPass records the sale in your producer finances.
  3. Stripe handles settlement and payout to your connected account.
You need Stripe Connect set up before BeatPass can pay you out for exclusive sales.

After the Beat Sells

Once a beat is sold exclusively:
  • The beat is marked Sold.
  • The exclusive terms are locked.
  • BeatPass stops new standard licenses for that beat.
That means price changes only matter before the sale happens.

Common Questions

Yes, as long as the beat has not already sold exclusively.
Usually no. It is more practical to price around demand, deliverables, and how premium the beat really is.
Use the exclusive contact email so buyers can reach out before or instead of immediate purchase.

License Configuration

Configure the exclusive terms behind the price.
