This page summarizes how BeatPass handles marketing, promotional, lifecycle, and commercial electronic messages.

Message Types

BeatPass may send:
  • service, security, legal, billing, transaction, license, payout, catalog, moderation, rights-verification, and policy notices
  • producer announcements, catalog notices, feature updates, release notes, onboarding reminders, and educational messages
  • promotional messages, offers, surveys, campaigns, or marketing communications where permitted
Service and legal notices may still be sent even if a user opts out of marketing. Where Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation or similar law requires consent, BeatPass relies on express consent, implied consent, another lawful basis, or an exemption where available. Commercial electronic messages should identify BeatPass or Alliance Productions Records Inc. and include an unsubscribe mechanism where required. BeatPass processes unsubscribe requests within the timeframe required by law.

Channels

Commercial-message rules may apply to email, SMS, push notifications, direct messages, or other electronic addresses depending on the message and channel.
